Meet Snake Oil Shakedown

We are “Arenacana” - Where Arena-Rock Energy Meets Americana Soul…

Dan Vigil and Joey Roxx come from two very different corners of the American music world — but when they plug in together, something rare happens.

Joey Roxx spent years on the road with Burn Halo, tearing across stadiums and festivals nationwide, his guitar work equal parts ferocity and feel. Dan Vigil built his name closer to home — one of Denver’s most sought-after vocal coaches and a respected songwriter known for helping artists find their authentic voice.

Together, they formed Snake Oil Shakedown — a band that fuses arena-rock power with Americana soul. Big hooks. Sharp edges. Songs that sound like they’ve lived a life.

Snake Oil Shakedown is part revival, part warning label. The music carries the dust of long highways, the glow of late-night neon, and the weight of too many stories earned the hard way. It’s loud when it needs to be, restrained when it matters, and always anchored in feel.

Snake Oil Shakedown isn’t selling a cure — it’s telling the truth. And it hits like the real thing.
